Survival of the Fittest?

The zeal to survive in my opinion is more like survival of the fittest, you have to have the will, the want, the strive to reach and succeed. I believe that in many ways on a every day basis we show the zeal to strive, whether its putting on a seatbelt or even helping a old lady across a busy road. Each of those things shows you want to survive, whether it is the small things or the biggest things.


As for an example, in the Titanic when the end comes around and Rose and Jack were in the water that is a gesture of dignity. Jack made sure Rose was out of the water so she could survive, he knew the water was freezing and would eventually die if there was no help he took the chance to show dignity to Rose.
